Pierce County Trails to remain closed.

The Pierce County snowmobile trail system will remain CLOSED at this time.

County clubs and their volunteer crews are working diligently to address current trail issues to ensure the trail system is safe and rideable before opening.

Current trail concerns include:

• Wet and swampy areas that have not yet frozen
• Property access limitations due to the late deer hunting season
• Unexpected trail reroutes resulting from landowners requests to discontinue use of their property

The trail system will remain closed through the expected warm-up this week. Volunteer crews will reevaluate trail conditions once temperatures cool back down.
